Tamil Cinema has very few heroines who hail from Chennai. Most of them are from Mumbai, Kerala and the like. As is the trend, most of these heroines stay in hotels or rented houses and see how their careers shape up. If promising, they do their best to buy land, build houses and settle down in Chennai, the city that gracefully accepts and hails people from other states.

Sameera Reddy is from Mumbai and is acting with Suriya in Gautham Menon's 'Varanam Aayiram'. With prospects of the movie making it very big, she has already started hunting to buy land in Chennai. So is the case with other actresses from Mumbai such as Tejashree and Keerti Chawla. Both these actresses are living in rented houses and have reportedly teamed up and bought land in the outskirts of Chennai.

Reema Sen is reportedly looking out for property in Kotturpuram and Mumtaz has built a house for herself in the posh locality of Anna Nagar.
